There is nothing more beautiful than putting my girls to bed, tucking them in, saying "I love you, babies" then hearing Zoë's tiny voice saying "I love you, too, Mommy," and then Poppi saying, "I love you, Mommy, Good Night."  Sublime.

A special homecoming - 2 years ago today...

The most joyous time of our lives.  At this point, we were so glad to be home after the arduous journey(s) (both the five and half years of waiting and the 14 plus hours of flying).  And, looking back on it now, I. would. not. change. a. minute. of. it.  

Our girls are so worth every second of that wait and the hair-raising realization that we didn't know what the hell we were doing while we were in Ch*na :); but we knew if we made it through those 5 and a half years of waiting, we could make it another two weeks in Chin*.  

I was so at peace while we were in Ch*na; I knew that was exactly where and with whom I was supposed to be.  My arms were as full as my heart and continue to be so today.

To my daughters, my heart would be hollow without you; you are the reason I breathe.  I would lay down my life for you.

I just can't seem to get caught up here, so I just thought I would pop in and give you an idea of the beauty by which I am surrounded every. single. day.  Breathtaking.

November/December Revisited...

Found the perfect tree, but now we have to go look at more trees so we can come back to this one.

Poppi says, this tree is "spiky"

Zoë said as soon as we found our tree "ok, now let's go get some popcorn."
