Eighteen Months Old - 10/5/2012

Poppi on the left, Zoë on the right

I cannot believe they are 18 months old today!  My, how they have grown.  This is the only way I could get them to stay still long enough for me to get a photo of them together; otherwise it is bob and weave with the camera and I get images like the one to the right and below (both of which were taken yesterday when the girls visited Daddy's office for the very first time--they were treated like the princesses they are.  And yes, I know they look adorable in their tiny little sweaters tied around their necks. :) -- Aunt Carole, I can see you smiling at them right now :)

Poppi Had a Little Lamb

Poppi's love of music is no secret around here.  The minute she hears the first beat of a song she starts to sway and move (notice she also keeps pretty good time too, and throws in a few hoedown moves as well).  Zoë, not so much.  And while she makes a guest appearance in this video, she would rather just hum along to the music or just sit quietly with a book :).
Video dated 8-16-2012

(Thank you to Aunt Carole for the personalized CD's - they are fabulous and the girls loooove hearing their names throughout the songs! - love them!)

A rare treat...

Thankfully, the girls are too young to associate the mobile music with the ice cream truck, so it will be a while before we will do this again; but since it was such a beautiful day and we had the girls outside enjoying the weather, it was the perfect time for a special treat.

A Beautiful Day for a Botanical Garden

We took the girls to a beautiful botanical garden to see the flowers, and, more importantly, the butterfly exhibit.  They were mesmerized by the gossamer winged creatures, as were we.

Daddy and his girls walking through the moongate.

My favorite photo of Poppi.

The girls were quite enthralled with their new inanimate "friends"

Notice Zoë's BeePack...I vowed never to do the harness thing, but it worked fabulously and they didn't mind it a bit; the backpack has a clip on the bottom where you click the tether; it gives me peace of mind and I can take them out of the stroller now when I am in the park by myself :)
